Justin at musclehead...writes of Reagan:
He articulated a vision of America that was good, just and proud.
Not to be a Johnny-one-note, but from my perspective as a gay man, he articlated a vision of America that had no place for me in it. Indeed, he and his administration were all too willing to sit by and watch many of us die needlessly of a new epidemic, while government scientists were begging for money to research how the disease was spread. And while they were waiting, no one knew for sure how it was spread, and many of us were infected. Many of my friends died.
So, I'll let everyone else wax about how "great" Reagan was. I can't. I feel that he died with too much of my friends' blood on his hands.

Not to be a Johnny-one-note
It's an important note. Please keep sounding it, especially as the GOP spinmachine gears up pre-election to make Reagan into some kind of saint.

It *is* an important note. I hope you go to law school. We need you.
